Brindle Toronto delivers restaurant-style meal kits and pastry boxes to your doorstep

The founders, Nicole Douglas and Carlos Los de Veyra, always dreamed of opening a restaurant together. When the pandemic hit, they began to brainstorm ways that they could share their food with others from a distance. Using a combination of Los de Veyra's fondness for pasta and making noodles by hand, paired with Douglas' dessert and pastry skills, they started producing unique and delicious meal kits.

The name was inspired by their French bulldog named Guinness who has a brindle coat of fur. The idea of a brindle coat having many elements to it resonates with the style of food that Douglas and Los de Veyra create.

Through their training, travelling and respective family cultures, their food is inspired by a variety of cuisines, including Italian, French, Filipino and Japanese. Just like a brindle coat, they combine numerous flavours and techniques to bring together their one-of-a-kind dishes.

Brindle's next steps are launching their website and online store in order to continue growing their brand. Once restrictions loosen, they plan on organizing in-person pop-ups around the city.
